for I am wisdom.

My beauty is greater
than any creature
that has graced the earth;
my depth, farther reaching
than any science.

Where lands and buildings
and economies crumble
I remain standing.

When people and customs
and religions have vanished
I have continued undaunted.

Do not fear
my bittersweet taste
for I am like a medicine
bringing you health.

And do not weary of my discipline
